New Delhi : The Ministry of External Affairs has strongly dismissed recent actions by China involving the assignment of what it termed as “fictitious names” to locations within Indian territory, calling the move unacceptable and misleading.

Responding to media queries, official spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that India categorically rejects any such attempts, asserting that these actions are aimed at distorting facts and creating confusion over established territorial realities.

He emphasized that efforts to fabricate names or push baseless narratives cannot alter the ground reality that regions such as Arunachal Pradesh have always been, and will continue to remain, an integral and inseparable part of India.

The spokesperson further noted that such moves by China not only lack legitimacy but also undermine ongoing efforts to stabilize and improve bilateral relations between the two countries. He urged the Chinese side to avoid actions that inject unnecessary tensions and instead focus on fostering mutual understanding and constructive engagement.

India reiterated that maintaining respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity remains fundamental to the development of stable and positive India-China relations.
