New Delhi  : According to media reports  French President Emmanuel Macron has emphasized the need for strategic autonomy, stating that France does not intend to be caught between global power blocs or become overly dependent on either China or the United States.

“Our goal is not to become a vessel caught between two major powers,” Macron said, underscoring that France seeks to avoid reliance on China’s influence while also limiting exposure to uncertainties linked to the US.

Addressing the situation in Iran, Macron cautioned against relying solely on military solutions. He stressed that bombing or armed intervention would not resolve the crisis, noting that such approaches have historically failed to deliver lasting outcomes.

While acknowledging disagreements with Iran, Macron maintained that military action alone cannot bring stability. He pointed to past interventions in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya, highlighting that even decades later, those efforts have not produced the intended results.

Macron further stressed the importance of respecting national sovereignty, stating that any change in governance must come from the will of the people themselves.
