New Delhi :US President Donald Trump has removed Attorney General Pam Bondi from her position, appointing Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche as her successor.
The decision, announced by Trump himself, comes in the wake of a report by The New York Times that raised concerns over Bondi’s handling of matters related to Jeffrey Epstein. The report is believed to have triggered dissatisfaction within the administration.
Following her removal, Bondi confirmed that she will transition to a role in the private sector but emphasized her continued support for Trump and his administration.
“I will continue to work for President Trump and this administration,” Bondi stated, adding that she remains grateful for the confidence placed in her during her tenure.
She further remarked, “I will always be thankful for the trust President Trump gave me to help make America safe again.”
