Gurugram : The district administration in Gurugram has taken action against black marketing of LPG cylinders and seized a total of 32 cylinders during a raid.
The operation was carried out on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar by the Food and Civil Supplies Department. The raid took place in an open parking area near Vivekananda Hospital in Sector 12.
According to District Food and Supply Controller Ashok Rawat, the team acted on a tip-off about illegal storage and sale of gas cylinders. The team included AFSO Sunil Kumar, Inspector Jitendra Kumar, and Jogender.
During the raid, officials recovered 31 filled domestic cylinders, one empty domestic cylinder, two empty 5-kg cylinders, and one filled 10-kg cylinder.
One person, identified as Niranjan from Laxman Vihar, was arrested, and a case has been registered. Further investigation is underway.
Authorities said that strict action will continue against black marketing and hoarding of essential commodities.
