UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya Safe After Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing in Lucknow

Lucknow : Keshav Prasad Maurya, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, had a narrow escape on Saturday after the helicopter carrying him developed a technical problem mid-flight, forcing an emergency landing in Lucknow.

According to official sources, the helicopter had taken off from La Mart Ground and was heading towards Kaushambi district when the pilot detected a technical fault. The aircraft was immediately diverted and safely landed at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport as a precautionary measure.

Reports indicate that smoke was noticed inside the helicopter during the flight, prompting the crew to carry out the emergency landing. Fortunately, all passengers and crew members on board were safe.

Following the incident, the helicopter has been grounded for a detailed technical inspection to determine the cause of the malfunction and ensure safety.

After the emergency landing, Keshav Prasad Maurya decided to continue his journey to Kaushambi by road. The Deputy Chief Minister was scheduled to reach the district around 11:30 AM on Saturday.

According to officials from the Deputy Chief Minister’s office, Maurya will attend the inauguration of the ‘Saras Mahotsav’ at the Maa Sheetla Devi Guest House during his visit.
