Moving Bus Catches Fire in Jaisalmer, 10 Passengers Feared Dead

Jaipur : A horrific road accident has been reported in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Ten to twelve passengers are feared dead after a massive fire broke out on a moving bus. The fire caused panic, forcing passengers to jump out of the bus and try to save their lives. Passengers screamed and cried out. Sixteen passengers, including three children, were reported injured.

Following this tragic accident, the fire officer reported that ten to twelve people are feared dead. Passengers suffered severe burns to their faces and limbs. The condition of several passengers is reported to be critical.

Local residents who arrived at the scene assisted in the rescue efforts, and all the injured were taken to the Government Jawahar Hospital. The seriously injured have been referred to Jodhpur. A short circuit is suspected to have caused the fire.

Currently, information is being gathered regarding the number of passengers on board the bus, and Collector Pratap Singh Nathawat and Superintendent of Police Abhishek Shivhare are present at the scene. The fire brigade teams reached the spot and controlled the fire.
