Gurugram : Rajat Gupta, a resident of Gurugram, has completed the Triathlon Race successfully before stipulated time in several cities around the world, including Cardiff (Wales, England), Klagenfurt (Austria), Langkawi (Malaysia), and Frankfurt (Germany). By achieving this goal, he became the number 1 Indian in his age group globally, bringing pride to the nation and the state of Haryana on the world stage. The Triathlon Race known as the Iron Man race, is one of the toughest endurance races in the world. This race involves swimming 3.8 kilometers, cycling 180 kilometers, and running 42 kilometers without any breaks, and participants have a maximum time limit of 17 hours to complete all three disciplines.
Having successfully participated in these competitions, Rajat Gupta secured his place in the World Championship Triathlon race, which will be held in Nice, France on September 14, 2025. He completed this race, considered one of the toughest in the world, in 14 hours and 18 minutes, becoming the first Indian in his age group to participate in and complete the World Championship Triathlon, thus bringing further glory to Haryana and the nation.
The complexity of the Nice World Championship Triathlon can be gauged by the fact that it involves swimming 3.8 kilometers in the Mediterranean Sea with high waves and challenging conditions, and cycling 180 kilometers over rugged mountains at an altitude of 2500 meters.
25-year-old Rajat Gupta is a very talented athlete. Besides triathlon, he has also represented the country in table tennis at the national level.
Rajat Gupta resides in Central Park Resorts on Sohana Road and is the son of Pradyuman Kumar Gupta, a prominent businessman, social activist, and president of the Progressive Federation of Trade and Industry, Gurugram.
