New Delhi : BJP has reacted sharply today on the allegations of tampering of voter list in Lok Sabha and assembly elections by Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi. BJP leaders have hit back at Rahul Gandhi on the allegations of rigging in Maharashtra assembly elections. They said that Rahul Gandhi has attacked the constitutional institution every time.
BJP MP Sambit Patra, while talking to the media on Thursday, said, “This is not the first time that Rahul Gandhi has attacked the constitutional institution. But the question arises that when he wins in Telangana, Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh and Jharkhand, why does he not show the voter list to everyone? He has not done such a thing even once. I want to tell him that he does not have any influence among the people and instead of him, there is a nature of love for PM Modi and that is why the public chooses him.”
He said, “Rahul Gandhi should have also shown both the voter ID cards of his colleague Tejashwi Yadav and should have told that one of his two voter ID cards has been removed from the list, but he did not comment on this.”
Former Law Minister and Lok Sabha MP Ravi Shankar Prasad targeted Rahul Gandhi. He said, “He is making an irresponsible comment on a constitutional institution and we condemn it. I will only say that seeing this conduct of Rahul Gandhi, the public will not vote for him anymore. He is insulting the people of the country, who have repeatedly elected PM Modi. Rahul Gandhi is abused every day and the Supreme Court has also made comments on him thrice. I condemn the allegations made by Rahul Gandhi.” Shiv Sena MP Naresh Mhaske told IANS, “Rahul Gandhi is behaving childishly and hence there is no need to pay attention to his allegations.”
