Gurugram : Municipal Corporation Gurugram Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya held an important meeting with the corporation councilors at the Municipal Corporation office on Tuesday, in which detailed discussions were held on the overall development of the city and improvement in civic amenities.
In this meeting, there was an in-depth discussion on various important points including cleanliness system, door-to-door garbage collection system, waste management, material recovery facility (MRF), compressed biogas (CBG) plant, segregation of waste, reducing waste, increasing AI based monitoring, animal catching campaign, dog and monkey problem and encroachment.
The Municipal Commissioner said that the objective of the Municipal Corporation is not only to collect garbage, but also to reduce waste, dispose it in a scientific manner and develop an environmentally friendly system. He informed that work is being done rapidly to make the AI based surveillance system more effective in the city, so that the garbage management and cleanliness system can be monitored in real time. The Municipal Commissioner said that with positive thinking and working system, we are moving towards improvement with better coordination.
Apart from this, the progress of the ongoing ‘Pashu Pakado Abhiyan’ to catch stray animals roaming in the open in the city was also discussed. Along with this, the councilors also expressed concern over the problems arising from stray dogs and monkeys. The Commissioner directed the concerned officials to adopt permanent and humane methods to solve these problems.
The problem of encroachment was also a major issue in the meeting. The councilors gave information about the traffic and public inconvenience caused by illegal encroachment. On this, the Commissioner said that the corporation is running a campaign to remove encroachment in a phased manner and no laxity will be done in this.
During this, the councilors shared the problems of their respective areas. Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya assured the councillors that the corporation team is actively working towards resolving all issues on priority basis. This meeting was a positive step towards strengthening the coordination between the municipal corporation officials and the councillors as well as increasing participation in solving public problems. The corporation councillors praised this initiative of the Municipal Commissioner and emphasized on ensuring participation in the development of Gurugram with mutual coordination and better coordination.
