Gurugram : A delegation of all Industrial Associations of Gurugram met Ashok Garg , Managing Director, Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) today at his Gurugram office under the leadership of Progressive Federation of Trade and Industry (PFTI) Chairman and senior industrialist Deepak Maini. During this courtesy meet, PFTI Chairman Deepak Maini discussed in detail the problems related to electricity supply . He suggested the need for infrastructure improvement in various industrial areas of Gurugram.

Chief Engineer V.K. Agarwal, Superintending Engineer Shyamveer Saini, and Executive Engineer Manoj Nehra were also present from DHBVN in the meeting.

The problem raised during the meeting was about Tawadu Road Pioneer Industrial Area. PFTI Chairman Deepak Maini said that the work of industrial feeder is pending here for a long time, due to which the problem of frequent power cuts is arising. On the other hand, Chairman of Rozka Meo Industrial Area, Ratan Pal Khatana told that the construction of a substation in his area has been incomplete for years. DHBVN  MD Ashok Garg assured to complete it by December 2025.

Aggarwal demanded early construction of 66 kV substation so that the obstacles coming in the metro construction project can be removed. MD also assured to complete it by December 2025.

On the problem of power disruption during rain, Jagatpal Singh from Sector 37 IDA raised the problem of power disruption for several hours even in a little rain.

On this issue, Managing Director Mr. Garg directed the officers to take immediate corrective steps. The matter of replacing old infrastructure and transformers was raised by PFTI Director Advocate R.L. Sharma. He told that the power supply infrastructure in Gurugram is in a very dilapidated condition. There is a need to replace old transformers at many places.

S.P. Kamboj of Manesar Industrial Welfare Association pointed out the very long power cuts in the name of maintenance and shortage of staff. He requested that adequate technical staff be appointed in all industrial areas. He also suggested underground wiring and replacement of old power lines in some areas.

 

On this, V.K. Agarwal, Chief Engineer, DHBVN informed that the above suggestions have been sent to the higher management and positive action is expected soon.

 

President of Udyog Vihar Chamber of Industries, Ashok Kohli, appreciated the improvement in power supply by the Electricity Department.

 

Ashok Garg, Managing Director, DHBVN assured the delegation that all problems will be resolved soon and necessary corrective steps will be taken soon to improve the power supply system in industrial areas.
