Gurugram : Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department has invited applications for the establishment of paddy straw supply chain in the financial year 2025-26 under the Crop Residue Management (CRM) scheme under the National Agricultural Development Scheme (RKVY) by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. Interested applicants can apply online on the departmental portal www.agriharyanagov.in till July 15.
Assistant Agricultural Engineer Yadavendra Singh gave the above information and said that the applicant will have to submit other necessary documents including approval of bank financial assistance and project report to the department. On the basis of which all applications will be considered by the district level committee on July 21. He said that this scheme is available for straw based industry farmers, groups of farmers, cooperative societies of farmers and panchayats, which are located within their 25 km radius. It is mandatory for the applicant to be a resident of Haryana state and his industry should also be established in Haryana state. Yadavendra Singh said that the applicant should have in-principle approval from the bank and the proposed machines should have a capacity of 3000-4500 metric tonnes per season. Under the scheme, preference will be given to 100 percent straw-based industry, straw industry and straw aggregator, which have a bilateral agreement and have been managing and purchasing straw for the last two years. The cost of this project can range from Rs 1 crore to Rs 1.5 crore. There are two options available for applying, in which the Agriculture Department will give 65 percent grant amount. 25 percent of the project cost will be borne by the industry and 10 percent by the aggregator. The second option includes 65 percent grant and 35 percent contribution by the aggregator.
The Assistant Agricultural Engineer said that the major equipment available on subsidy are 200-500 kg capacity baler, hay-rack and tedder machine, tele handler, moisture measuring instrument, water tank and fire extinguisher hammer mill, rotary slasher, trolley, excel, store, tractor etc. Applicants who have applied in the year 2024-25 do not need to apply again.
