DLSA Gurugram and District Administration Organized Special Camps in Vipin Vihar and Ravi Nagar under “SAATHI” Campaign
Gurugram : District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Gurugram Secretary Rajat Verma informed that under the “SAATHI” campaign, special camps were organized today in Vipin Vihar and Ravi Nagar areas to make Aadhar cards for homeless children. These camps were organized with the cooperation of the district administration, whose aim is to identify the children living on the margins of the society and connect them with government schemes.
The camp included those children who did not have Aadhar cards till now and due to this they were deprived of the benefits of many welfare schemes like education, health, ration. The team of DLSA panel advocates and district administration played an active role in the camp.
Earlier, a survey was conducted in these areas by the Saathi Unit in collaboration with Shakti Vahini NGO. During the survey, a list of such children was prepared who did not have Aadhar cards. This list was handed over to DLSA and the district administration, on the basis of which this camp was organised.
Rajat Verma said that in future also such camps will be organised in other areas of Gurugram so that no child is deprived of identity and rights.
