Gurugram : Municipal Corporation Gurugram has become fully active regarding cleanliness in urban areas. Under the Swachhata Pakhwada running from June 1, a special cleanliness drive was carried out on Wednesday, in which roads, green belts, drains, GT and other public places including community centers were cleaned.
Along with the cleanliness teams, RWA representatives and local citizens also actively participated in this campaign. This campaign is being run under the instructions of the Urban Local Bodies Department, Haryana and various cleanliness activities will be organized every day till June 21. This fortnight is being celebrated as an intensive cleanliness and awareness campaign in Municipal Corporation Gurugram, Municipal Council Sohna and Pataudi-Jatauli Mandi, and Municipal Council Farukhnagar.
While giving information, Municipal Corporation Gurugram Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya said, “Cleanliness is not just the responsibility of sanitation workers, but it is the moral duty of every citizen. Our effort is to make Gurugram clean and beautiful with public participation.”
During the campaign, special emphasis is also being laid on cleaning public places, improving the process of waste disposal and making people aware about cleanliness.
