Chandigarh : Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister, Anil Vij today expressed his gratitude to Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari for the construction of various national highways in Haryana. He also requested that trees and plants be planted along the sides of these highways for their beautification and to promote the environment.
In this regard, Sh. Vij sent a formal request letter to Sh. Nitin Gadkari, urging that trees be planted on both sides of the national highways. In the letter, Sh. Vij stated that such plantation would not only enhance the beauty of the highways but also contribute positively to the environment.
He mentioned in the letter that, under the guidance of Sh. Gadkari and the dedicated efforts of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), several national highways have been constructed in Haryana in recent years. Key among them are 152-D, Jammu-Katra Expressway, Panipat-Rohtak, Ambala-Hisar, and Panchkula-Yamunanagar. These highways have provided significant convenience to the general public.
Sh. Vij expressed his appreciation to Sh. Gadkari for gifting these highways to Haryana. Drawing attention to the beautification of national highways in the state, he reiterated his request for plantation along their sides to promote environmental conservation and enhance aesthetic appeal.
