UP Police Identifies 19 Districts as Sensitive by means of Mock Drill to be held on May 7

Lucknow : On the instructions of the Central Government, Uttar Pradesh Police has started full preparations for mock drill in the state by classifying the districts according to their sensitivity. This was indicated by Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police Prashant Kumar in a conversation with the media. He told that a day later, i.e. on May 7, instructions have been received from the Government of India regarding the mock drill of Civil Defense.

Director General of Police Prashant Kumar told journalists that 19 such districts have been identified in UP, in which one district has been placed in A category, 2 districts have been placed in C category and the rest of the districts have been placed in B category.

He clarified that in view of the sensitivity here, instructions have been given by the state government that intensive mock drills should be conducted in all the districts in collaboration with civil administration, police administration, fire service, disaster response force.

Mock drill will be conducted tomorrow, on May 7. In that, air sirens will be sounded and after that, the general public will be told what they have to do when the air siren sounds. In this, people will be trained and made aware about protective arrangements and emergency situations. In an emergency situation, the administration, police, civil defense team and the general public will be able to work effectively.
