Chandigarh : Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister, Anil Vij today said that “Congress is a traitorous party, an enemy party and a pro-Pakistan party.” He further added that “Congress has no right to live in India.” Criticizing the Congress party, he said that “The border with Pakistan should be temporarily opened so that all Congress members can go there.”
Sh.Vij was responding to questions asked by the Media Persons in Chandigarh regarding a recent incident where the Congress party posted — and then deleted — a controversial photo on its Twitter account, allegedly depicting a national hero without a head.
He said that “Across the world, people and soldiers hold the heads of their heroes high and make great sacrifices for their honor. But here in our country, the Congress party has metaphorically decapitated our hero in a tweet — something even an enemy would not do.” He added that “Every community and army keeps their heroes’ heads held high in war, but the Congress party committed a disgraceful act by symbolically removing the head of our hero even before the battle has begun.” He asserted that the Congress party is not a protector of the nation but rather a betrayer, and declared that “from today, it should be called the ‘Traitor Congress Party’ and the ‘Enemy Congress Party.’”
“Pakistan will receive a response unlike anything they have imagined” – Vij
In response to a question about a recent incident in Pahalgam, Kashmir, he said that “Pakistan will be given a response so severe, they could not have imagined it. Such actions are intolerable.” He added that “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has repeatedly assured that a fitting reply will be given, and when he says something, he ensures it is done.”
“The Prime Minister is acting in the national interest” – Vij
Referring to a recent decision where the Prime Minister gave the armed forces a free hand in handling security issues, Energy Minister Sh. Anil Vij said that “The Prime Minister is doing what is necessary for the country’s interest. He has always empowered the military and other officials to act according to their capability.”
“The country is on the edge of war, and this is a time for unity” – Vij
In response to a question about the recent statements made by the Chief Ministers of Punjab and Haryana over water issues, Sh. Vij emphasized national unity and said that “The country stands on the edge of war, and at such a time, unity is crucial. Every citizen is standing behind Prime Minister Modi, and internal disputes should be set aside.” He specifically urged Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to retract his recent comments, stating, “Punjab is a border state and bears greater responsibility. All states should show solidarity right now, he added.”
It may recalled that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann had recently made a strong statement regarding water sharing, alleging that the central government led by the BJP is attempting another “dirty trick” regarding Punjab’s water. He tweeted that the central government, through the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB), is trying to pressure Punjab to release extra water, but the state has no surplus and has already provided Haryana with its rightful share. Punjab also reportedly refused to release more water to Haryana during a BBMB meeting.
