New Delhi : Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini urged people to imbibe the ideals of Shri Dhanna Bhagat Ji in their lives, and said that by following his path, we all should contribute to building a better society and a stronger nation. He also urged the parents to educate their children and foster a spirit of brotherhood by bridging the gap of caste and creed in the society.
The Chief Minister was addressing a state-level function held at village Palwa in Uchana, Jind district, to mark the birth anniversary of Shri Dhanna Bhagat Ji.
Announcing several developmental initiatives in response to the demands made by Daadam Khap, the Chief Minister said that a retaining wall for the pond, along with a shed and a room, would be constructed in village Palwa. In addition, the boundary wall and grill work of the Daadam Khap Bhawan in Palwa would be completed, and a veranda-cum-hall would also be built there. Furthermore, a 40 KW solar panel will be installed at the Bhawan as per departmental norms, following a request to upgrade the existing 40 KV power load.
Shri Dhanna Bhagat Ji’s life is a living example of social harmony
Congratulating the people on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Shri Dhanna Bhagat Ji’s personality was as serene and luminous as the full moon. A disciple of the revered Saint Ramanand Acharya Ji, who played a key role in promoting the Bhakti Movement across North India, Shri Dhanna Bhagat Ji carried forward this mission with such fervour that he came to be recognized as a pioneer of the movement in Rajasthan. His life is a living example of social harmony.
Sh Nayab Singh Saini said that saints, sages, and spiritual leaders have always shown the righteous path to humanity. Their teachings are a valuable legacy for all of humankind, and it is our collective responsibility to preserve and promote this heritage. To spread the messages of these great personalities, the state government has launched the Sant Mahapurush Vichar Samman Evam Prasar Yojana, under which state-level programmes are organized to commemorate their birth anniversaries. Today’s event was part of this initiative.
Taking inspiration from Shri Dhanna Bhagat Ji, the government is working for inclusive development
The Chief Minister further stated that Shri Dhanna Bhagat Ji envisioned a world where everyone lived in happiness and prosperity. Inspired by his values and teachings, the state government is dedicated to the welfare and upliftment of all, guided by the spirit of ‘Haryana Ek – Haryanvi Ek’. At a time when society faces numerous social and moral challenges, the relevance of Shri Dhanna Bhagat Ji’s teachings and message is even greater, he said. To pass on his teachings to future generations, the Shri Dhanna Bhagat Public School has been established in Kurukshetra.
Join hands in the fight against drug abuse
Describing drug addiction as a social evil, the Chief Minister said that the government is actively carrying out a statewide de-addiction campaign. As part of this, cyclothon yatra is being organized to raise awareness. He called upon every citizen to contribute meaningfully to this campaign and support efforts to eliminate drug abuse from its roots.

On this occasion, former Minister and BJP National Secretary Sh Om Prakash Dhankhar extended his greetings on the birth anniversary of Shri Dhanna Bhagat Ji. He stated that Hari ki Dhara (the sacred land) Haryana has been blessed by many saints and mahatmas who have dedicated themselves to penance and the noble service of society. By honouring these spiritual figures as ideals, the government is organizing such programmes to promote harmony and unity in society. He added that Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini moves forward with humility, treating the people as a form of the divine and serving them with folded hands, as an act of worship.

Rajya Sabha MP Sh Subhash Barala highlighted the deep devotion of Shri Dhanna Bhagat Ji, who, through his unwavering faith, was blessed with the divine presence of Lord Shri Krishna. and we are celebrating the birth anniversary of Shri Dhanna Bhagat ji on the same land. He pointed out the historical significance of Haryana—the very land from which Lord Krishna delivered the message of Karma to the world. He reflected on the difficult times in history when Indian culture was under threat and Hindus were being forcefully converted by oppressive rulers like Aurangzeb. Even in such challenging times, Shri Dhanna Bhagat Ji, at a young age, played a crucial role in promoting social harmony and spiritual awakening. He urged the Chief Minister to consider incorporating the life and teachings of Shri Dhanna Bhagat Ji into school textbooks, so that students and future generations can draw inspiration from his exemplary life and values.
Earlier, the Chief Minister paid floral tribute to the portrait of Shri Dhanna Bhagat Ji. He then honoured the saints and sages present and received their blessings. During the function, the Chief Minister, along with other dignitaries, also released a book dedicated to the life and teachings of Shri Dhanna Bhagat Ji.
