Chandigarh : ACB Ambala filed a chargesheet in the court of the Additional Sessions and District Judge, Ambala against accused Harish Kumar Clerk and Raj Kumar Clerk, Office of District Education Officer, Ambala in a corruption case under Sections 7, 13(1)(B) and 13(2) of the PC Act 1988 and 120B, 384 of the IPC on 18 April 2025,.
The complainant in his complaint to ACB Ambala had alleged that Harish Kumar Clerk and Raj Kumar Clerk, Office of District Education Officer, Ambala were demanding a bribe of Rs. 55,000 in cash from him in lieu of getting his arrears of IAS paid and his pension revised.
Acting on the complaint of the complainant, the ACB Ambala team arrested Harish Kumar, clerk, office of District Education Officer, Ambala, red handed while accepting a cash bribe of Rs 55,000 from the complainant and co-accused Rajkumar clerk was arrested on the spot on the basis of full facts/evidence against him and a case number 14 dated 01.06.2023 under sections 7, 13(1)(B) and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and 120B, 384 of the Indian Penal Code was registered against both the accused at Police Station Anti-Corruption Bureau, Ambala.
