Public representatives, administrative officers, ex-servicemen and people from sports and different fields in Gurugram contributed to the campaign against drug abuse by cycling
Gurugram, : Cyclothon 2.0, being carried out in the state with the message of Drug Free Haryana of Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini, is continuously moving towards the success of its objective with public participation. Cyclothon 2.0 passed through the main roads of Gurugram district on Saturday. Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh flagged off the yatra from Ghamroj Toll Plaza on Saturday morning. He himself cycled and inspired the youth to contribute towards a drug-free Haryana.
Sohna MLA Tejpal Tanwar and Pataudi MLA Bimla Chaudhary also wished the participants of Cyclothon 2.0 in Gurugram district. DC Ajay Kumar and ADC Hitesh Kumar Meena themselves cycled in Cyclothon 2.0 from Ghamroj Toll Plaza to Elan Mall on Dwarka Expressway and inspired the district residents to support this campaign.
Youth power should come forward against drugs to make India a Vishwaguru
Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, while addressing the participants and district residents who had come to encourage them, before flagging off Cyclothon 2.0 from Ghamroj Toll Plaza, said that this campaign has created a wave against drugs in the state. Gurugram district has an important role in this wave. Gurugram is recognized worldwide and its message goes all over the world. Youth power should come forward against drugs to make India a Vishwaguru. He also administered the oath of drug-free Haryana to the residents of the district who attended the program.
Along with the youth, senior citizens were also seen enthusiastic
Members of different cyclist communities of Gurugram, students of schools and colleges and participants of different age groups participated in Cyclothon 2.0. Senior citizens also participated in large numbers among these participants. Talking about senior citizens, Sahdev (67 years) from Rohtak, Jaipal (70) from Sonipat and Pawan Kumar from Karnal etc. are included in this journey from Hisar. These senior citizens, who reached Gurugram via various districts, inspired the young participants to contribute against drug abuse with their memoirs. DC Ajay Kumar honored the participants by giving them certificates. Wishing the participants a bright future, he said that your contribution in such a campaign will always inspire the society. The district received huge public support for Cyclothon 2.0. A large number of district residents in Ghamduj, Bhondsi, Badshahpur, Vatika Chowk, SPR Road, Dwarka Expressway, Basai, Dhankot, Chandu, Budhera encouraged the participants of Cyclothon 2.0. People also extended their support to the Haryana government’s ongoing campaign against drug abuse. Also, under the Haryanvi tradition of salt in the cycle journey, a resolution against drug abuse was taken at many places. On this occasion, DCP Arpit Jain, SDM Sanjeev Singla of Sohna, SDM Dinesh Kumar from Pataudi, SDM Darshan Yadav of Manesar, ACP Satyapal Yadav, ACP Jitendra Kumar, Additional CEO of CSR Trust Haryana Gaurav Singh, Deputy Director (Sports) Giriraj Singh, DIPR Bijendra Kumar, Naib Tehsildar Ashish Malik and District President of BJP Sarvpriya Tyagi, Sarpanch Sadhna Rani of Ghamroj village, besides representatives of Veteran Air Warrior Association, Rahgiri Foundation and other organizations were also present.
