No negligence or laxity will be tolerated in the repair of roads
Quality construction work of all roads should be done within the stipulated time frame
Maintenance work of roads inside all mandis should also be ensured
Chandigarh, April 1 : Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini, while giving instructions to complete the repair work of all the roads in the state by June 15, said that the officers should run a special campaign and ensure that all the processes of tender etc. are completed within 15 days so that the repair work of all the roads can be completed with good quality before the upcoming monsoon.
The Chief Minister was addressing the officers while chairing the review meeting of Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board in Chandigarh today. Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Minister Mr. Shyam Singh Rana was also present on this occasion.
Regarding the repair of damaged roads, the Chief Minister said that the bad roads should be identified and repair work should be started within 15 days so that relief can be provided to the general public. Apart from this, the repair and repair of all the roads transferred to the District Council in five districts should also be completed within the stipulated time frame. Also, quality should also be ensured in the repair works. While instructing the officials, he said that no negligence or laxity will be tolerated in relation to the repair of roads.
It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini had announced during the Legislative Assembly Budget Session that all the roads of Haryana State will be renovated in the next 6 months. After this, not a single road will be found broken in the state.
While directing to speed up the road widening works in the state, the Chief Minister said that work should also be done in the direction of increasing the roads being maintained by the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board from 12 feet to 18 feet. This is very important in view of the increasing traffic on the roads. Also, the repair and maintenance of roads inside all the Mandis of the state should also be ensured so that the farmers bringing crops to the Mandi do not face any problem.
It was told in the meeting that out of 4313 roads being maintained by Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board, 465 roads are 18 feet wide. The work of widening 34 other roads is going on. Apart from this, tender process is under way for widening 35 roads of 118 km.
While reviewing the Chief Minister’s announcements, Naib Singh Saini said that the officers should ensure that all the announcements are completed within the stipulated time frame. For this, all the concerned departments should work in better coordination so that the development works can be completed smoothly.
While giving instructions to the officers regarding the announcements made in the budget, the Chief Minister said that the concerned departments should make plans and work at a fast pace within the stipulated time frame and ensure that 100 percent of the schemes are implemented on the ground so that the public can get maximum benefit.
He also gave necessary guidelines to the officers while reviewing the apple market established in Pinjore, flower market to be established in Gurugram, India International Horticulture Market being established in Ganaur, Atal Kisan Mazdoor Canteen and other projects.
Additional Chief Secretary of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department Raja Shekhar Wundru, Commissioner and Secretary of Development and Panchayat Department Dr. Amit Kumar Agarwal, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Dr. Saket Kumar, Chief Administrator of Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board Mukesh Kumar Ahuja, Agriculture Director Raj Narayan Kaushik, Director of Food Supply and Consumer Affairs Department Rajesh Jagpal, Managing Director of HAFED Mukul Kumar and other officers were also present in the meeting.
