Gurugram, March 29 : Various types of welfare schemes are being run by the government to increase the production capacity of the farmers’ crops and reduce the cost of farming in the state. Various types of subsidies are also being provided by the government under these schemes. In the same sequence, the New and Renewable Energy Department Haryana is giving special grants to farmers under the PM Kusum scheme for installing solar pumps, so that there is no financial burden on the farmers and they can get rid of traditional pumps.
Giving this information, ADC Hitesh Kumar Meena said that the department is receiving such complaints that many farmers have sold their solar water pumping systems to someone else or are using them for some other work by installing them at a place other than the designated place.
The ADC said that when the farmers are given approval to install solar pumps under the PM Kusum scheme, then it is taken in writing from the farmers that they will neither sell the solar pump installed at their place to any other person nor shift it to another place.
If they do so, the government can take back the subsidy amount given to them.
The ADC appealed to the subsidy receiving farmers of the district to avoid doing any such illegal work and not to get misled by anyone. He informed that the New and Renewable Energy Department also conducts surprise inspections from time to time by visiting the spot.
