-Madhubani DM congratulated Madhurendra for his contrubution on Mithila Mahotsav
Madhubani (Bihar): Internationally renowned sand artist Madhurendra Kumar, who is famous for creating his artwork with sand on every special occasion, he has given the message of “Unnat Mithila, Vikasit Bihar” by creating artwork of seven sutras of developed Bihar for public awareness. On the occasion of inauguration of Mithila Mahotsav, this year also sand artist Madhurendra exhibited his artistic command and attracted thousands of visitors.
Madhurendra Kumar, the superstar of sand art is a resident of Bijbani village of Ghorasahan Bankatwa block under Sikrahana subdivision of East Champaran district. After two days of hard work on the unique initiative of Madhubani district administration he has carved a 10 feet high “Unnat Mithila, Vikasit Bihar” slogan of the seven sutras plan of developed Bihar of Bihar government. It is created on a truck of sand kept right in front of the main stage in Watson School campus of Madhubani district on Thursday.
This artwork made of sand, creates public awareness is so captivating that Madhubani DM Arvind Verma was also overwhelmed by this art. Mr Verma congratulated sand artist Madhurendra. This has become the center of attraction. People coming to see the festival are also taking selfies with Madhurendra’s artwork in their cell phones and sharing them on social media. Due to which this picture has gone viral.
During the evening cultural program in Mithila Mahotsav, Madhubani Sadar SDM Ashwani Kumar also honored sand artist Madhurendra by giving him Mithila turban, angavastra, souvenir and certificate on the main stage.
Madhubani SP Yogendra Kumar Yadav, DDC Dipesh Kumar, District Art Cultural Officer Nitish Kumar and all senior officials and dignitaries present on the occasion praised Madhurendra’s art and congratulated him.
