Chandigarh, March 15 : Haryana’s Minister of Energy, Transport and Labour, Anil Vij celebrated his birthday today in Ambala, where it was observed like a festival. Since morning, thousands of people gathered at his residence to extend their best wishes. Along with party workers, various social groups, market associations and other organizations also congratulated the Cabinet Minister. The celebrations continued throughout the day, with well-wishers forming long queues while workers danced to the beats of drums and songs.
Speaking about the overwhelming love from the people, Anil Vij said that “This love is the oxygen of my life; as long as I receive this oxygen, I will stay alive.” He expressed gratitude for the affection showered upon him by the public and recalled that even during municipal elections, people had shown their immense love. He reiterated that as long as this love continues, he will keep going.
Several people who came to wish the Cabinet Minister also sang songs and recited verses in his honor, including:
“siyaasat mein kabhee aisee ladaee nahin dekhee gaee, ek aadamee ke dar se pooree hakoomat kee aashanka nahin dekhee gaee, ho gae jangal ke sab jaanavar ek saath, kabhee bhee aadamee sher kee itanee hakeekat nahin dekhee gaee”

Anil Vij’s residence was flooded with flower bouquets presented by a large number of visitors who came to greet him.

Regarding the metro line from Ambala Cantt to Chandigarh, Energy Minister Anil Vij stated that he is confident it will be operational soon. He recalled how he had previously gifted an airport to Ambala residents and assured that the metro project has now been initiated and will be nurtured to completion.

Reacting to Union Minister Manohar Lal’s social media post featuring a picture with Anil Vij and the caption “Yeh dosti hum nahi todenge” (We will never break this friendship), Anil Vij responded that “My relationship with Manohar Lal Ji has always been cordial. Everyone knows that I am a loyal friend, and I will maintain this friendship for life.”

On the attack at the Golden Temple in Amritsar, where five people were injured with an iron rod, Sh. Vij commented that “Some people are constantly trying to divide India. But there is something special about us that our existence cannot be erased. Under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi Ji, the nation will continue to progress, and such cowardly forces will not be able to stop our journey forward.”
