GURUGRAM : Lions Public School, Sec-10A, Gurugram organised Felicitation Ceremony for Session 2017-18 to honour the meritorious students from Classes Nur to XII. The auspicious event started with Lamp Lighting by the School Chairman Lion Vijay Buddhiraja & his team, School Manager Mr. Rajiv Kumar, Sr. Principal Dr. Neelima Prakash, Principal Mrs. Renu Verma and Vice Principal Mrs. Indu Kaushik to evoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. The students were awarded in various academic categories for being Scholar, Genius, Scholastic Bronze Star, Scholastic Silver Star & Subject Proficient. Bhagwat Garg got Scholastic Gold Star for his wonderful performance for consecutive 11 years in this school .
The choir of school welcomed the guests by singing the melodious welcome Song.Sr. Principal Dr. Neelima Prakash welcomed the guests, elated students & their proud parents. She thanked the parents for providing all support and academic atmosphere to achieve success.
A mesmerising Sufi Group song was also sung by promising singers of the school. Everyone assembled was delighted by the performance of the children. The event was graced by the distinguished members of the Management Committee of the School.
The School Chairman Lion Vijay Buddhiraja blessed the children and appreciated them for their efforts. He encouraged the students and teaching staff for keeping the winning streak in every field in the future endeavors also.
The school management awarded the students with mementos, badges and trophies in various academic categories by honorable guests for being Scholar, Genius, Scholastic Bronze Star, Scholastic Silver Star & Subject Proficient. Bhagwat Garg got Scholastic Gold Star for his wonderful performance for consecutive 11 years. The students were awarded for their excellence in Co-Scholastic areas also like Computer Whizkid, Best Performer, All Rounder, Outstanding Orator, Outstanding Artist, Outstanding Crafts person, Outstanding Sportsperson, Full Attendance & many more.
Felicity House bagged the Best House Trophy. The Sports Trophy was bagged by Amity House. The Student Council for Session 2018-19 was also introduced on this occasion. The school is setting its own benchmark for better performance and beating its own record every year as total number of awardees last year was 765 while this year it has reached to 795.
Ex Chairman of the school Lion D. V. Taneja emphasised on the need to conserve resources, avoid polythene and make the earth more beautiful for present and future generations. He also urged everyone to inculcate moral values in the children to make them good citizens.
Vice Chairman of the school Lion H. L. Dang was also present on this occasion who applauded the achievers and encouraged them to be the master of their destiny which ever field they opt.
Rajiv Kumar, the School Manager also lauded the travail of the students and teachers. He congratulated the award winners, their parents and encouraged them to excel in all the fields in future also. Speaking on this occasion he defined the role of teachers in making a perfect student. He opined that a student must not be limited to be a book worm but do believe in growing their over all personality. He claimed that LPS is going ahead day by day and competing perfectly with other such schools of Delhi NCR/Gurugram in the required diversified fields. Our students have been doing well in Sports, Scince and Arts also for many years and hope will keep it up.
The Vice Principal Mrs. Indu Kaushik congratulated and blessed the awardees and appraised the parents about the importance of the good health. The program was ended with a beautiful dance performance followed by National Anthem. Renu Verma , Principal wished the children for their success and presented vote of thanks.
