Government Committed to Athletes’ Welfare Under CM Nayab Singh Saini
Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the Haryana Government is committed to providing athletes with proper nutrition, quality training, experienced coaches and modern sports infrastructure.
The government is making every effort to ensure that athletes in the state do not face any shortage of facilities or opportunities to develop their talent.
He said Haryana has no shortage of sporting talent; what is needed is to provide that talent with the right platform and proper guidance. Haryana has produced numerous international athletes, and the state is expected to produce many more athletes who will bring laurels to the country at national and international levels.
The government’s objective is to enable Haryana’s athletes to win more medals not only at the national level but also at the Asian, World and Olympic levels.
Rural Talent to Get Better Opportunities
The Sports Minister said villages have played an important role in Haryana’s sporting culture. Several international athletes from the state have emerged from rural backgrounds and gone on to compete on the world’s biggest sporting platforms.
He said the government is paying special attention to ensuring that young people living in villages and smaller towns also have access to world-class sporting facilities.
If hidden talent in rural areas is identified at an early stage and provided with appropriate facilities and coaching, Haryana can produce even more international-level athletes in the coming years.
Athletes’ Success Will Inspire the Youth
Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, India is continuously demonstrating its talent and capabilities on the international sporting stage, with Haryana playing an important role in this sporting journey.
He said when an athlete wins a medal at the international level, the achievement is no longer merely personal; it becomes a matter of pride for the entire state and country.
Such achievements will inspire other young people to take up sports and encourage them to move towards the playing field rather than spending excessive time on mobile phones and other activities.
The Minister made it clear that no effort will be spared in honouring and encouraging medal-winning athletes. He urged the athletes to continue working hard and strive to win more medals for the country in upcoming international competitions.
