New Delhi/Hyderabad : U.S. Ambassador to India and Special Envoy to South and Central Asia, Sergio Gore, visited the Lockheed Martin–Tata aerospace manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, where he witnessed advanced aerospace manufacturing capabilities firsthand.
Describing the visit as “fantastic,” Ambassador Gore said the partnership between Lockheed Martin and Tata Advanced Systems is playing an increasingly important role in strengthening India’s position in the global aerospace supply chain.
“Fantastic visit to the Lockheed Martin–Tata facility in Hyderabad to see advanced aerospace manufacturing firsthand. Lockheed Martin’s partnership with Tata is making India a critical link in the global C-130J production network, strengthening defense supply chains and advancing our strategic partnership,” Gore said.
The collaboration between Lockheed Martin and Tata represents a significant example of the growing India-U.S. defence industrial partnership. The Hyderabad-based facility contributes to the global manufacturing ecosystem for the C-130J Super Hercules, a military transport aircraft operated by several countries, including India.
The partnership also supports the broader objective of expanding defence manufacturing and technological capabilities in India, while integrating Indian industry more deeply into global defence supply chains.
