New Delhi : CJP Co-Convener Saurav Das, in a post on X, expressed concern over what he described as an online campaign targeting individuals who are working for social causes.
Das alleged that some trolls are using fake stories, doctored photographs, videos, deepfakes and AI-generated content to target people who are trying to contribute positively to society.
He further claimed that, according to information shared with him by “certain friends in the establishment,” an alleged “Dirty Tricks Department” and the Intelligence Bureau (IB) were working together to doctor or morph photographs and videos and attempt to tarnish the reputations of individuals through selected troll accounts online.
Very sad that unelected persons who are trying to do some good in society are hounded by certain trolls with fake stories and doctored videos/pictures.

Das said such attempts would not succeed and asserted that “the truth always wins.” He added that an “awakened generation” would continue to hold those in authority accountable on issues of public concern.
The allegations made by Das could not be independently verified.
