Rahul Gandhi Highlights Women’s Role in Nation-Building; Kiren Rijiju Reacts
New Delhi : Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi shared a video message on social media highlighting the role and importance of women in the development of the country. Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has reacted to a video message shared by Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi .
In the video, Rahul Gandhi said that the energy of India’s women remains “trapped” and is not being allowed to express itself or imagine freely. He stressed that no country can achieve success unless its women are able to fully express themselves and contribute to society.

Rahul Gandhi said that much of his political vision, as well as what politics in India should focus on, is about making people understand that the country remains “stunted and incomplete” without the full expression and participation of women.

Reacting to Rahul Gandhi’s post, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju described the message as positive and said it appeared to reflect a change in Rahul Gandhi’s position on women.
Rijiju added that he now hoped the Congress Party would support the Women’s Reservation Bill unconditionally.
