India, China Hold Border Affairs Talks Under WMCC Mechanism in New Delhi

New Delhi : India and China held a meeting of the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination (WMCC) on China-India Border Affairs in New Delhi on Thursday to discuss issues related to the management of the border and bilateral relations.

The meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Sujit Ghosh, Joint Secretary (East Asia), Ministry of External Affairs, and Ms. Hou Yanqi, Director General of the Department of Boundary and Ocean Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.

The WMCC serves as an institutional mechanism for maintaining communication and coordination on border-related issues between the two countries. The talks focused on matters concerning peace and tranquility along the India-China border and ongoing efforts to manage the boundary situation through dialogue and diplomatic engagement.
