Bhubaneswar : Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi addressed the opening ceremony of the 13th BRICS Education Ministers’ Meeting in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, held under India’s BRICS Presidency. Education Ministers and senior delegates from BRICS member countries participated in the meeting to advance the shared vision of “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability.”
Addressing the gathering, the Minister highlighted that India is chairing BRICS for the fourth time, with three of these chairships taking place under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said India’s BRICS Chairship is guided by the four pillars of Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability, each of which has a vital role in shaping the future of education. He emphasized that education systems must be resilient to disruptions, embrace continuous innovation, strengthen international cooperation and build sustainable institutions that empower future generations.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Minister thanked all participating countries for their constructive engagement and reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening collaboration in education. He noted that the adoption of the BRICS Education Ministers’ Declaration reflects the collective resolve of member nations to deepen cooperation in the education sector.
Later, the Union Minister briefed the media on the successful conclusion of the meeting and outlined the key outcomes of the deliberations, which focused on enhancing cooperation in education, research, innovation and digital learning among BRICS countries.
