India Reaffirms Commitment to Strengthen Ties with Benin at National Day Celebrations

New Delhi : Secretary (Economic Relations) in the Ministry of External Affairs, Sudhakar Dalela, participated as the Chief Guest at the National Day celebrations of the Republic of Benin, reaffirming India’s commitment to further deepening bilateral relations with the West African nation.

Addressing the event, Shri Sudhakar Dalela underscored the importance India attaches to its partnership with Benin and reiterated New Delhi’s resolve to strengthen cooperation across a broad spectrum of areas of mutual interest.

He emphasized that India remains committed to expanding collaboration with Benin in diverse sectors, including economic engagement, trade and investment, development partnership, capacity building, and other areas that contribute to the shared growth and prosperity of both countries.

The Secretary (Economic Relations) also highlighted the longstanding friendship between India and Benin and expressed confidence that bilateral ties would continue to grow through sustained dialogue, enhanced cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges.

His participation in the National Day celebrations reflected India’s continued engagement with African partner countries and its commitment to strengthening diplomatic, economic, and developmental cooperation with nations across the African continent.

The event provided an opportunity to reaffirm the strong and friendly relations between India and the Republic of Benin and to explore avenues for further expanding bilateral cooperation in areas of common interest.
