New Delhi : Russian President Vladimir Putin has positioned Russia as a key provider of secure and stable transit routes amid growing global energy concerns linked to the ongoing tensions involving Iran.

Speaking with media on the evolving energy crisis, Putin noted that the situation around Iran has significantly impacted global energy markets, particularly the transportation of oil and gas through the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

He observed that countries and companies are increasingly factoring in security and reliability alongside cost and transit time when choosing logistics routes. According to him, the stability of supply chains—especially their resilience to geopolitical conflicts and external disruptions—has become a decisive consideration.

Putin asserted that Russia is well-positioned to offer such dependable alternatives and can play a central role in shaping a new global logistics and trade architecture.

He further highlighted that Russian transit routes could offer economic advantages to partner nations, including reduced transit times and greater diversification of global transport networks.

The remarks come at a time when ongoing geopolitical tensions are prompting nations to reassess supply chains and energy security strategies worldwide.
