Gurugram : A district-level ceremony will be held in Gurugram today to release the 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to beneficiaries. Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh will be the chief guest at the event, held at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Shikohpur.
Dr. Anil Tanwar, Deputy Director of the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 21st installment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme to farmers across the country via video conference on Wednesday. This event will be broadcast live at the district-level event. The state-level event will be held in Palwal, with Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini as the chief guest.
The Deputy Director stated that under this scheme, crores of rupees have been transferred directly to the bank accounts of eligible farmers through DBT in Gurugram district. Currently, the number of such eligible farmer beneficiaries in the district is 33,374. Dr. Tanwar urged the district’s farmers to participate in large numbers to learn about the latest agricultural schemes and technologies.
Dr. Tanwar stated that the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) is a flagship farmer-friendly scheme of the Government of India, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide financial assistance of ₹6,000 per year to eligible landholding farmers. This scheme is not only increasing farmers’ income but also securing their livelihoods. The government’s goal is to ensure that every eligible farmer benefits from this scheme and improve their standard of living.
