Gurugram : Speaker of Haryana Assembly, Harvinder Kalyan said that for the first time a National Conference of Urban Local Bodies is being organized in Haryana. The entire event should be organized with the spirit of the tradition of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’ so that the delegates coming to this conference of national importance return with a good experience from Gurugram. He said this on Sunday evening during a meeting with Lok Sabha, Haryana Assembly and district level officials at the International Center for Automotive Technology (I-CAT), Manesar to review the preparations for the National Urban Local Bodies Conference. This important conference to decide the outline of urban development will be held on 3rd and 4th in the first week of July, in which more than 500 delegates from states and union territories across the country will participate.
In the meeting, Haryana Assembly Speaker, Kalyan said that by entrusting the hosting of this conference to Haryana Assembly, the state has got an opportunity to showcase its working system and hospitality tradition at the national level. He said that this is the first program of its kind in the country. Haryana’s food and service spirit are famous all over the country. When representatives from every corner of the country will come to Haryana for this conference, we will not only give them administrative efficiency but also the experience of a lively, strong and cultured Haryana.
The Assembly Speaker said that this event will not only increase the prestige of Gurugram but will also provide an opportunity to present the state’s urban administration system and modern civil services on the national stage. He clarified that no guest should face any inconvenience during the event, our effort should be that all the delegates take a good experience of Haryana’s hospitality. This conference is not just an administrative event, but it is a strong platform to present Haryana’s culture, hospitality and developmental thinking to the representatives from all over the country.
He directed the officials to make proper arrangements for the reception, accommodation, health facilities, traffic management, security arrangements, cultural presentations and smooth transportation to the venue of the event for the delegates.
It is worth mentioning that in this conference of national importance, there will be a comprehensive discussion on the outline of urban development in Gurugram. Also, the arrangement of accommodation of all the delegates in Gurugram will increase the spirit of cultural exchange and mutual cooperation.
-Help desks will be set up at airports and railway stations
It was informed in the meeting that help desks will be set up at Delhi Airport and New Delhi and Gurugram Railway Station with the cooperation of Lok Sabha Secretariat. At the same time, a control room will be set up in the PWD Rest House of Gurugram, from where the entire program will be monitored and coordinated. Apart from this, a control room will be set up at the venue.
– Administration started preparations
In the meeting, DC Ajay Kumar said that the district administration has started work on the accommodation of the delegates, traffic management and security arrangements. Senior officers have been deputed for all areas related to the event. He said that Gurugram will be presented as an ideal host.
On this occasion, DC Ajay Kumar, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya, Haryana Assembly Secretary Dr. Satish Kumar, Assembly Speaker’s Advisor Ram Narayan Yadav, DCP Headquarters Deepak, DCP Traffic Dr. Rajesh Mohan, ADC and Nodal Officer of the event Vatsal Vashisht, Additional Director (Administration) Yogesh Kumar from Hospitality Department, CTM Ravindra Kumar and Director Dr. Zubi Amar Y from Lok Sabha Secretariat and other officers were also present.
