New Delhi: The ongoing tension between the US and Iran suddenly took a dangerous turn on Sunday morning. In fact, America’s ultra-modern B-2 Spirit stealth bombers fiercely attacked Iran’s three major nuclear bases – Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan. Although the US had said two days ago that US President Trump would decide to attack Iran in the next two weeks, but the attack on Sunday surprised the world.

According to media reports, after taking off from Missouri (USA), these B-2 bombers flew continuously for about 37 hours without landing. The news says that during this time the American bomber refueled several times in the air, and the mission was accomplished without stopping. Such operations are considered to be an extreme example of long-range strike. These attacks are also confirmed by the statement issued by Iran’s Foreign Minister.

Media reports have said that Iran’s Fordow nuclear site, which was built deep under the mountains and was considered extremely secure, became the biggest target in this attack. After the attack, President Trump said in his statement that “Fordow is gone.” He warned Iran that if Iran attacks Israel now, it will be attacked on a much bigger scale. It is worth mentioning that this attack was carried out with special GBU-57 ‘Massive Ordnance Penetrator’ bunker buster bombs, which are specially made to destroy such deep and secure bases.

After the US attack on Iran’s nuclear site, Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu has praised President Trump. He has said that President Trump has taken the most historically bold and powerful step today. He has said that both he and Trump have been talking about bringing peace through strength and today they have shown strength.

In this entire operation, the US dropped 6 bunker buster bombs on Fordo, while about 30 Tomahawk missiles were fired at other nuclear sites like Natanz and Isfahan. This was the most direct and powerful attack by the US on Iran in years. President Trump later informed on Truth Social that “all our planes are returning safely” and called the mission an “amazing success”. He warned Iran that if it still did not make peace, the next attack would be more deadly.

Before the US attack, there was close coordination between Israel and the US. Trump spoke directly to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. At the same time, according to Iranian news agency Tasnim, an Iranian official has confirmed the damage caused by the attack on the Fordo site.

So far, more than 400 civilians have been reported dead and more than 3,500 injured in Iran, while in Israel too 14 people have died and more than 1,200 have been injured. This attack is being considered to be the most dangerous phase so far in the decades-long tension between the two countries.
