Nodal officer Anu Shyokand Reviews Preparations for the Yoga Day Program

Gurugram : To finalize the preparations at the district level for the successful organization of International Yoga Day 2025, Secretary of HRERA and Nodal Officer of the event, Anu Shyokand held a review meeting with departmental officers at PWD Rest House today. She directed all the concerned departments to actively cooperate in the event and ensure participation of maximum number of people.

Anu Shyokand said that yoga is necessary not only for physical health but also for mental balance and its utility should be highlighted among the common citizens through such public awareness programs. She directed all the department heads to motivate their subordinate employees to participate in the Yoga Day program and also ensure publicity through social media and public relations means.

During the meeting, arrangements related to the venue, facilities for the participants, security arrangements, refreshments, transportation and parking etc. were also reviewed. The nodal officer said that this year Yoga Day is being organized under the theme ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’, in which schools, colleges, voluntary organizations, industrial units and social organizations across the district have also been invited. He called upon all the officials to work towards making this national event a mass movement and play their role in making Gurugram one of the most successful organizing districts of the state.

In the meeting, District AYUSH Officer Dr. Manju Kumari said that to ensure maximum participation of people on June 21, the AYUSH department has started the registration process through a special portal. Interested participants for this program can register by giving a missed call on the official website www.internationalyogadayhry.in or +91-9501131800. Before the event, a yoga marathon will be held on June 20 at 6 am at Tau Devi Lal Stadium and a pilot rehearsal will be held at 7 am. He informed that along with the district headquarters, Yoga Day programmes will also be organised in Sohna, Pataudi, Manesar, and Badshahpur sub-divisions.

Dr Monika, Dr Vikas from AYUSH Department, Dr Shalini from Health Department, AEO Jagdish Ahlawat from Education Department, Motor Vehicle Officer Harendra Veer, POICDS Dr Simran, and other departmental officers were present in the meeting.
