Haryana Govt Revises Excise Policy, Change in E-Tender Dates and Less Initial Investment

  • Under the revised tender schedule, e-tenders will be held on 30th and 31st May in Gurugram (East) and 26th and 27th May in Gurugram (West)

Gurugram: The Excise Policy for the year 2025-2027 was approved by the Haryana Government from 06th May 2025. Under the revised provisions, bidders for the allotment of retail liquor zones will now have to make less initial investment than before.

Revised tender schedule for Gurugram (East)

Deputy Excise and Taxation Commissioner (Excise) Gurugram (East) Amit Bhatia informed that now the government has amended this policy and reduced the amount of security money to be taken from the successful allottees of liquor contracts from the pre-determined 15 percent to 11 percent and the security money to be taken on the day of e-tenders has been reduced from 3 percent to 2 percent. Now the bidders can start lifting the quota by depositing only 5 percent security amount (earlier it was 7 percent). The rights to lift the full quota will be available after depositing 11 percent security amount.

Amit Bhatia informed that now these e-tenders will be held on 30 and 31 May 2025 in Gurugram (East). The evaluation of the received e-tenders will be done on 31 May 2025 at 5:00 pm. He informed that all interested bidders can read the revised Excise Policy 2025–27 on www.haryanatax.gov.in. Revised tender program for Gurugram (West)

Deputy Excise and Taxation Commissioner (Excise) Gurugram (West) Jitendra Doodi, while giving information, said that under the amendment, the process of payment of license fee has also been simplified. Now 91 percent of the license fee will be paid in monthly installments, while the remaining 9 percent amount will be adjusted from the security amount deposited in the last two months of the policy year.

Jitendra Dudi informed that now these e-tenders will be held on 26 and 27 May 2025 in Gurugram (West). The evaluation of the received e-tenders will be done on 27 May 2025 at 5:00 pm.
