Measures taken in the budget not sufficient for the economy of Sawrnim Bharat : Prof M M Goel

Lucknow, Feb 11 :   The Department of Commerce along with the NSS wing of Navyug kanya Mahavidyalaye, Organised a panel discussion on union budget 2023 on On 11th of February 2023 . The session began with invocation of Maa Saraswati and lighting of the lamp . Discussion was chaired by the Principal Prof. Manjula Upadhyay, an economist brought focus on improvement in agriculture by promoting millets and coarse vareity of grains. She expressed her doubts about transparency of the policy of MNREGA. She talked about how well we have recovered from covid crisis.

Eminent panelist for the session were Former vice chancellor , prof. Dr. Madan Mohan Goel, founder of Needomics school of thought who focused on indianisation through spiritualism and formula of WWW : work without worries.

“The budget proposals 2023-24 reveals that the measures taken in the budget proposals were necessary but not sufficient for the economy of Sawrnim Bharat towards 2047,believes Prof. Madan Mohan Goel, Former Vice-Chancellor known as founder Needonomics School of Thought superannuated from Kurukshetra University. He was addressing the students and staff of Navyug Kanya Mahavidyala on the topic “ Union Budget 2023-24: Perceptions of a Needonomist ”. Prof Goel said that the task of pleasing all the stakeholders is difficult if not impossible in a democratic nation.

To make the provisions sufficient , We have to understand and adopt the principle of needonomics as a Swadeshi idea of Bharat in totality which includes needo-consumption, needo-saving, needo-production, needo-investment, needo-distribution, altruism, needo-trade for glocalization ( think globally and act locally), needo-environment and above all needo-insurance for needo-happiness, explained Prof. Goel.
For ensuring Swarnim Bharat towards 2047, we have to adopt street SMART and SIMPLE models with spiritual input flowing from Gita and Anu-Gita, told Prof. Goel.

FM must explain the use of education cess collected from the income taxpayers for effective implementation of NEP with many challenges including financing the States, said Prof. Goel.

Dr B. B. Tiwari, of Technia Institute of advanced studies, Delhi ,as a professor of management sciences , noted that challenges that we are going to face in the future, looking for ‘Aapda me avsar’. Very important issue that budget brings to light skill development through changes in education, holistic education and creating employability. At present there is confusion because of lack of communication between government agencies which has to be removed by spreading awareness. According to him India sustained itself during crisis because it is a consumer based economy.

Dr. Anamika Chaudhary, Associate prof, and Head of dept of economics at Dr. Shakuntala Mishra, National Rehabilitation University, in her crisp and short lecture emphasised that priorities set by global scenario is actually the background of our budget provisions this year, post covid scene and russia -ukraine war.

Prof. Sanatan Nayak, prof and head, dept of economics from school of economics and commerce BBAU, lucknow brought forward a perspective of happy life policy through the annual policy of the budget. Some how poverty reduction policies must bring ecological balance too. He also talked about the level of fiscal deficit that can be borne by the economy.

Various aspects of the budget were discussed and its impact on economy were analysed by the esteemed bunch of economist. Panelist highlighted the budget provisions for speeding up the process of growth and become world’s third biggest economy after US and China . The union budget for the year has many provisions that enables development by empowering the youth with skills.

With a estimated growth of over 7 percent , budget focuses on employment creation for youth and building sustainable and strong macro economic environment. As we move towards amrit kaal, seven priorities named ‘saptarishi’ has been formulated that provide a blue print for the development
of economy. The experts spoke elaborately on agriculture, pharmaceuticals, jal jeevan mission, north east special infrastructure development scheme and eklavya model residential school.

Dr.Arima Pandey was the convenor of the programe ,the programme ended by a formal the vote of thanks on behalf of the Department of Commerce and Nss team. A large number of faculty members and students benefitted from the discussions held during the day.
