Mandya, January 26 : To live in the spirit of freedom, we need to win over the prevailing vices and make the Indian Republic fit for peaceful living. Let us take a vow to fight the formidable foes this Republic day, said Professor M. M. Goel, Former Vice Chancellor, known as the founder Needonomics School of Thought and superannuated from Kurukshetra University while speaking as the chief guest on the occasion of the 74th Republic day celebration in the Jnanasagagra campus of the college today. Dr B Shivalingaiah President of Mandavya Group of Institutions presided the function.Smt Meera Shivalingaiah secretary SBET Mandya delivered the welcome address and read the citation on the chief guest of the function Prof.M.M.Goel.
To maintain and strengthen the democratic values of our republic, we need to learn to balance our rights and duties without a blame game and war of words said Prof Goel.
Professor Goel called upon the youth to be alert, aware and awake of the people with negative mindsets and use logic and rationale (vivek) to be an argumentative Indian with a full sense of responsibility.
Prof Goel appealed to the students for imbibing the lessons of wisdom in the Gita and Anu-Gita for their real empowerment with spiritual awakening and controlling anger.
