Kurukshetra, 20 Nov : Professor Madan Mohan Goel, Former Vice Chancellor & Founder of Needonomics School of Thought justified Gita-based ‘Needonomics’ (economics of needs) including needo-education for needo-employability and needo-entrepreneurship . He spoke today at the International Conference on Global Relevance of Gita by Matribhoomi Sewa Mission. His topic was “Relevance of Gita-based Needonomics for Global Recession in Present Times”.
Needo-finances for earning a decent living with needo-morality to live a disciplined life with needo-health as needo-lifestyle based on needo-consumption are the need of the hour said the needonomist Goel.
He said that the global recession calls for understanding the principle of needonomics and having a simple pragmatic solution for the problems including violence, terrorism, exploitation and corruption of all kinds caused by ‘Greedonomics’ (economics of greed).
He explained the NAW approach (Need, Affordability and Worth of the goods and services) of marketing to be consumer friendly.
The stakeholders as consumers, producers, distributors and traders must be street SMART( simple, moral, action-oriented, responsive and transparent in the global economy believes Prof. Goel.
