24th District Level Children Science Congress5-nov-15-a

Gurugram : Lions Public School, Sector 10 A Gurgaon hosted 24th District Level Children Science Congress on    5th November,2016. The primary objective of the meet was to provide the children a forum to exhibit their creativity and innovative skills. This would further help in solving societal problems. As many as  11 renowned schools participated from all over Gurgaon District in this meet.

 

Sr. Principal Dr. Neelima Prakash welcomed the participating schools and accompanying teachers. The students presented their projects and models in two groups.  Group A : for the age group 12-15 years and Group B : for the age group 16-18 years

 

The judges for the junior group were Mr.Sandeep Mann, Ms. Shashi Bala and Ms Gian Devi while the judges in the senior group were Mr. Subhash Garg, Ms. Saroj and Ms. Sonu Khandelwal. The judges were really overwhelmed to see the scientific temperament of the children. 

 

Vice Principal  Ms Indu Kaushik  applauded the  students’ efforts and appreciated the models made by them. Addressing the students manager Lions Public School  Rajiv Kumar  said that these children are the future scientists of our nation. He opined that such constructive event prepares them for their better future and also for the benefit of the society.

 

In the juniors category, the host school children made a project on the topic-“ Outbreak of Chickengunia- 2016 [A lesson for future]. 

In the seniors category, the students made a model on the topic- “Harnessing Waste Heat”

In the Junior Category  R. Mangalam , Amity International, Sec 43 and Lions Public School has been selected for state level competition

In the Senior Category Amity International, Sec46   and DAV Public School, Sec-48-49  has been selected for state level competition

In Rural Category GSSS, Khandela  and Govt Sr. Sec. School  has been selected for state level competition

The Meet ended with a vote of thanks by Principal Ms. Renu Verma.
