GURUGRAM :. Geet and ghazals have a special place in the Indian music space and true music connisour always hold them in high esteem.On 27 April 2019, Such a prestigious event was organised at Arya Samaj Auditorium , Gurgaon by Dhoomimal art gallery who have always known to promote art and culture on PAN-India basis. The Show was conceptualised by Gallery director Subhash Jain, who is a true music lover and man of several talents.The lead singers were Col. R.C Chadha and Lilly Singh both of whom are masters in their own fields with years of experience and several prestigious shows to boost of. The auditorium was full of music lovers and enjoyed well.
The melodious evening of Saturday began with inauguration and lamp lighting by dignitaries present . The show was Anchored by Ritu Attri and Pushpa Soni. A wide variety of old Songs and Gazals were covered . This special evening became evident of colourful songs bouquet contributed by both singers from the music orchard of K.L Saigal , Mohammad Rafi, Jagjit singh and famous Sufi maestros like Amir Khusro.
Col. R C Chadha the President of GCF is a renowned singer has served in Army has vast experience in music. He has been dedicated towards music for the last 20 years and made thousands of fans in Delhi NCR. After his retirement he thinks music, sings music and lives with music only has trained many young singers in Gurgaon. He is the master of K L Sahgal’ style and the audiences always demand the same. This evening he sang Nida Fazli’s creation ‘Kabhi Kisi ko Mukkamal Jahan Nahin Milta’. The spectators felt mesmarized.
Col. R.C Chadha’s powerful rendition of ‘Pyar Ka Pehle khat’ transported audiences to an era gone by.

A Gazal of famous versatile Gazal singer Jagjeet sigh lyrics by Hasti was presented by Col Chadha so beautifuly that connected all in one till the end last line. He also presented a song of great singer Mohammad Rafi ” Na Kisi Ki Ankh Ka Nur Hun ”

A song of 1940 ‘s ‘ Anmol ghadi ‘ composed by Naushad ‘ Aawaj de kahan hai ‘ was presented by Col Chadha and Lily singh similar to the then singers Surendra and Noor Jahan. Lily singh is best known as old melody queen among their fans in Gurgaon NCR .

The song kept the audience in aching pains for a while. It was the mid of the program and the music lover’s thrust was in peak. They were asking more and more.
Lily singh again came with a song “Mujhse Pahli Si Muhabbat Mere Mahboob Na Maang ” of Faiz Ahmad Faiz and proved her mastery in old songs .

The show ended on a high note by foot tapping number by Ms. lily singh ‘Dama dam mast kalandar’.

The song written in mixed words of Sindhi and Punjabi language sang in the respect of Great Sindhi “Sant Jhulelal ” left audiences dancing and craving for more. The organizer of the program was so encouraged due to the booming response of the gathering he announced to come with such music evening again in coming months . The event was indeed very successful and a memorable one for all participants .
