PM to Inaugurate "Textiles India 2017" on 30th June 2New Delhi, June 29, 2017:  The first of its kind value chain event of apparel and textile Industry, Textiles India 2017 will be inaugurated by Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi on 30th June, 2017 at Gandhinagar in Gujarat. The three day event is scheduled to be held from June 30 to July 2, 2017 at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.

The Ministry of Textiles with the support of Ministry of Commerce and in association with various Export Promotion Councils including AEPC is organising “Textiles India – 2017” to promote India as a one-stop sourcing destination for worldwide importers to source Indian Textiles. The fair will showcase a wide array of products across the value chain ranging from clothing, garments & accessories to textile services including designing, processing, etc. Around 1000 exhibitors are expected to showcase the stellar lineup of their products and services in the fair with more than 2500 International buyers and 15000 domestic buyers expected to attend the show.

Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Ashok G Rajani, Chairman, Apparel Export Promotion Council said, “Textiles India 2017 is a landmark event which brings the Indian textile industry and handicraft sector under one umbrella for the 1st time. Based on the Hon”ble Prime minister, Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Fibre to Fashion’ the event will showcase the best from India’s apparel and textile sector. Indian apparel manufacturers and exporters will get a big platform to showcase their ‘Made in India’ range of merchandise and will get an excellent opportunity to network with global buyers and importers. AEPC is proud to be a part of “Textiles India – 2017” .We have done an extensive promotion of Textiles India 2017   among our various stakeholders and we are quite confident that apparel manufacturers and exporters will register their presence in “Textiles India – 2017” in a big way.”

Activities such as Round table meetings, State sessions, Country sessions, fashion shows etc  are all part of Textile India 2017 which will  help in promoting  Indian Textile Industry in a big way. The fair will showcase the collaborative synergies of textile sector by roping in the weavers, designers, manufacturers, buyers, exporters and suppliers under one roof. The three day event will see the participation of   countries like USA, China, UK, Australia, Germany, Bangladesh, South Korea, UAE, Vietnam etc.
