Japan Ambassador Hosts Tax Seminar to Strengthen India-Japan Investment Cooperation

New Delhi: ONO Keiichi, Ambassador of Japan to India and Bhutan, hosted a tax seminar and held discussions on international taxation with senior officials from India’s Income Tax Department and representatives of Japanese companies.

The discussions focused on issues related to tax predictability and transparency, which are considered important for creating a stable and conducive environment for cross-border investment.

Ambassador ONO emphasised that greater clarity and predictability in taxation can help further strengthen India-Japan economic ties and expand investment flows between the two countries.

The seminar brought together government officials and Japanese business representatives to exchange views on international taxation and matters relevant to Japanese companies operating in India.
