Two Armies Discuss Ways to Further Strengthen Bilateral Defence Cooperation and Expand Engagement
New Delhi, September 30: The 13th India-Australia Army-to-Army Staff Talks were held in New Delhi from September 28 to 30, 2026, reaffirming the strong partnership and mutual trust between the two Armies.
According to the Additional Directorate General of Public Information, Integrated Headquarters of the Ministry of Defence (Army), the talks featured meaningful discussions on further strengthening bilateral defence cooperation and expanding the scope and scale of engagement across areas of shared interest.
The visiting Australian Army delegation also visited the Centre for Land Warfare Studies (CLAWS), where discussions were held on contemporary security issues and developments of mutual interest.
As part of the visit, the Australian delegation paid homage to the fallen heroes at the National War Memorial in New Delhi.
The Army-to-Army Staff Talks provide an important platform for both sides to exchange perspectives, deepen institutional understanding and explore avenues for expanding defence cooperation between India and Australia.
