New Delhi: Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh held talks with a bipartisan delegation from the United States House of Representatives, led by Representative Brian Mast, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
The meeting centred on the evolving India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership, with particular attention to expanding cooperation in the defence industrial and technological sectors.
The two sides discussed opportunities to further deepen collaboration in defence technology and industry, reflecting the growing importance of advanced capabilities, innovation and industrial partnerships in the bilateral defence relationship.
The engagement also highlights the increasing role of the US Congress in discussions concerning the broader strategic relationship between India and the United States. Defence cooperation between the two countries has expanded significantly over the years through military exercises, professional exchanges, defence technology collaboration and industrial partnerships.
