Minister highlights role of Indian diaspora, youth and sporting community in strengthening India-Japan ties

Nagoya: Union Minister for Labour & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, interacted with members of the Indian community in Nagoya, Japan. Indian Ambassador to Japan, Nagma Malik was also present during interaction.

During the interaction, the Minister highlighted the valuable contribution of the Indian diaspora in strengthening people-to-people ties and deepening the longstanding bonds of friendship between India and Japan.

Mandaviya also emphasised the important role of young people and the sporting community in fostering greater engagement between the two countries. He noted that youth exchanges, sporting interactions and community participation can further strengthen mutual understanding and cooperation.

The interaction in Nagoya comes during a period of increased engagement between India and Japan, with the Indian community continuing to serve as an important bridge between the two societies.

The Minister’s engagement also underlined the significance of people-to-people connections in taking India-Japan relations forward, particularly through youth, sports, cultural exchanges and diaspora-led initiatives.
