New Delhi: Union Minister for Civil Aviation Ram Mohan Naidu, along with Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Samir Kumar Sinha, attended the CII Vortex Summit – National Initiative for MSME Integration into the Global Aerospace Supply Chain.
Addressing the summit, Ram Mohan Naidu highlighted the unprecedented scale of aircraft orders being placed by Indian airlines, describing the development as a major opportunity for the country to emerge as a leading global aerospace manufacturing hub.
The Minister said India’s rapidly expanding aviation sector and growing aircraft requirements are creating a new window for Indian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to integrate with global aerospace supply chains.
He emphasised that the country’s MSMEs possess the capability and readiness to take advantage of this emerging opportunity and play a greater role in the aerospace manufacturing ecosystem.
The initiative is expected to strengthen the participation of Indian MSMEs in the global aerospace value chain while supporting the development of domestic manufacturing capabilities and contributing to the long-term growth of India’s aviation and aerospace sector.
