NEW DELHI: Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu launched the revamped Delhi Traffic Police website, introducing a technology-driven platform aimed at making traffic-related services more accessible and interactive for citizens. The revamped portal currently provides services and information including online challan payments, towed-vehicle tracking and live traffic updates.

A key feature of the upgraded platform is ‘Traffic Saathi’, an AI-based virtual assistant designed to provide real-time assistance to users. The Delhi Traffic Police website also offers road-safety information, traffic violation and penalty details, parking-related information, traffic helplines and other citizen services.

Sandhu emphasised that the website should go beyond functioning as an administrative interface and evolve into an interactive hub for road-safety awareness, civic education and proactive citizen participation.

The Lieutenant Governor stressed that technology-driven and citizen-centric policing is essential for improving traffic management and road safety in the national capital. The initiative is aimed at creating a safer, smarter and more responsive traffic ecosystem in line with the vision of Viksit Dilli.

The launch comes as the Delhi Traffic Police continues to expand technology-enabled traffic management and citizen engagement initiatives, with the LG previously stressing the importance of stronger enforcement, inter-agency coordination and greater public participation for safer roads.
