Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh: Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Rae Bareli MP Rahul Gandhi reviewed development works and the implementation of various government schemes during a District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting at Bachat Bhawan.

Gandhi held discussions with senior administrative officials on the progress of ongoing development projects and the implementation of Central Government schemes in the district. Officials also briefed him on pending works and action taken on issues raised during earlier DISHA meetings.

The meeting was held nearly a year after the previous DISHA meeting in September 2025. Gandhi also interacted with local traders, lawyers, medical professionals and other community representatives during his two-day visit to Rae Bareli, listening to their concerns and assuring them that the issues would be raised with the concerned authorities.

As part of his constituency visit, Gandhi is also scheduled to inaugurate development projects worth around ₹3 crore completed under the MPLADS scheme. He is also expected to visit flood-affected areas of Shivgarh and Maharajganj and interact with local residents.

The visit is part of Gandhi’s ongoing engagement with his parliamentary constituency, with a focus on development, implementation of government schemes and addressing local public grievances.
